Deafheaven return with blistering eight minute track 'Brought To The Water'

'Brought To The Water' is the opening track from the atmospheric metal outfit's forthcoming third LP 'New Bermuda'. A wall of ambience gives way to brooding, categorically metal guitar tones and cymbal-heavy drumming, almost making Deafheaven seem like a standard (albeit insanely tight) metal band. That's until a drumfill leads into an atmospheric soundscape, which refuses to shake off George Clarke's terrifying vocals for too long. The sonic fulmination consequently fades into some hugely contrasting piano chords and then out completely. Deafheaven are sounding stranger and better than ever.
