Six Artists set to Release Great Albums in the Final Third of 2015

We all know that Kanye is about to drop a record that might be called 'So Help Me God' or 'SWISH' or neither and that it'll probably be groundbreaking and genius because it's Kanye and he personifies that, but it's worth noting that before the year's out there's a few other records that are well overdue. Here are six artists intriguing who are (in some cases hopefully) releasing albums later this year

Savages: Not to put down tracks from their wonderful debut record 'Silence Yourself', but new tracks 'Adore' and 'Sad Person' were standouts from the London post-punk outfits insane set at Latitude Festival, with Jehnny Beth reiterating exactly why she's one of the most crucial lyricists in the world. The quartet revealed that they'd finished recording their second LP via instagram 9 weeks ago now, it would seem a formal announcement is imminent, the world is in need of a second Savages record.

Deafheaven: Deafheaven frontman George Clarke has said that new single 'Brought to the water' is a good indication of the "overall sonic tone" of their new record, which is hard to believe yet extremely exciting. New Bermuda is due for release on the 2nd of October, it will be the band's first LP on Anti Records and touring members Stephen Clark and Shiv Mehra's recorded debuts. It's hard to imagine that Deafheaven won't once again release the best metal album of the year.

James Blake: Another artist that played a latitude set that left me longing for a new record. I'll admit I'm not familiar with all of Blake's work, and recently found myself googling a hook of his that has refused to leave my head since his sundown set, with no luck. I can only assume that the frustratingly infectious track will be on his as yet unannounced new record, as will Kanye West and Connan Mockasin.

Kurt Vile: Not too long to wait now until Kurt Vile drops 'B'lieve I'm Goin Down', and the 25th of September couldn't come sooner. Vile proved on first cut 'Pretty Pimpin'' that his songwriting is stronger than ever, with an irresistible vocal melody incorporating characteristically witty narration. Many people consider his former band The War on Drugs's 2014 effort as the best album of its year, and don't be surprised to see a similar amount of attention surrounding this LP.

Deerhunter: It seems that Deerhunter have come of age since the manic garage rock of Monomania, and are moving towards something that shows off the co-production credentials of the band and Ben H. Allen II a little more. 'Snakeskin' is a promosing art-rock gem that serves as an inspired first taste of their new record 'Fading Frontier' which is due for release on the 16th of October.

Ought: Despite only coming across their debut album a few months ago, Ought have quickly become one of my favourite contemporary bands. They sort of sound like The Fall trying to be Television, but better. With sentiments such as "there were men for miles, doesn't it bring a tear to your eye" it's hard not to start thinking that their next album is going to be pretty special. Sun Coming Down is out on September 18th.
